The Committees of the Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas are groups of experts formed to focus on specific tasks or issues within our organization. They gather information, develop recommendations, and help implement projects to achieve the Healthy Start’s goals.

Healthy Start Committees

The Finance Committee leads the Board consideration of financial issues and recommends actions to the Board. The Committee meets as needed to review financial and budgetary reports and policies and recommends actions and policies for Board approval. The Committee also ensures financial transparency and accountability by overseeing annual audits and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The Fetal & Infant Mortality Review is a process of community-based fetal and infant mortality reviews attempting to explain the factors and issues that affect infant mortality and morbidity. It is anticipated that this knowledge will empower communities to enhance service, influence policy, and direct planning efforts that will ultimately lower mortality rates. This program, based on the national FIMR, is an initiative of the American College of Obstetricians-Gynecologists. This committee meets monthly.
The Fund Development Committee drives our community partnerships and donor cultivation. The Committee oversees the Healthy Start Holiday Wishes initiative, which brings seasonal joy to client families through gifts and essential items. They also securing vital Annual Meeting sponsorships from local businesses. The Committee meets regularly and through strategic fundraising efforts, the committee transforms community goodwill into tangible support for Healthy Start families.
