Healthy Start is proud to partner with Champions for Children to offer comprehensive support for your breastfeeding journey and your baby’s early development. Through this collaboration, we provide free professional breastfeeding assistance with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) at welcoming Baby Cafés throughout the community. These relaxed, supportive environments allow you to connect with experts who can address your specific breastfeeding questions and challenges. Additionally, our engaging educational playgroups create opportunities for your little one to develop crucial social, cognitive, and motor skills while you connect with other parents. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting both nutrition and developmental milestones during your child’s critical early years. All services are completely free to Pinellas County families made possible with funding from our children’s board, Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas, because we believe every family deserves access to expert support as they nurture their growing child.
Baby Café® Breastfeeding Support
Baby Café® is a free and comprehensive breastfeeding support clinics where mothers can meet with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for a one-on-one consultation to address breastfeeding challenges or simply to reassure that all is going well.
Educational Playgroups
What You Do Matters is a 6-week educational playgroup supporting caregiver- child interactions in a small group setting to foster community and learn more about developmental milestones. Session topics include fine/gross motor skills, language, social emotional learning and more!
