Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence-based home visiting program specially designed for first-time, low-income mothers in Pinellas County. NFP is there to support you during this transformative time in your life, providing compassionate guidance from early pregnancy through your child’s second birthday.

 

How We Support You and Your Growing Family

The Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas serves as the central hub for Home Visiting pregnancy and parenting programs in Pinellas County. Our CONNECT team is here to do exactly that: connect you with the right support for your family, including our partner programs like Nurse Family Partnership. One call with us, gets you access to home visiting, extra wraparound services, and pregnancy and parenting resources available in Pinellas County.

NFP’s dedicated Registered Nurses come to you! NFP will schedule visits every two to four weeks at a time and place that works best for your schedule. They understand that becoming a parent for the first time can be both exciting and overwhelming, which is why they offer personalized support including:

  • Consistent, caring relationship with your own dedicated nurse
  • Family enrichment activities to strengthen your bond with your baby
  • Comprehensive pregnancy guidance to help ensure a healthy birth
  • Child development support to foster your baby’s cognitive, physical, and emotional growth

Beginning Your Journey With Us

NFP program welcomes Pinellas County residents who are expecting their first child and are less than 28 weeks pregnant. Your nurse will be by your side through pregnancy and will continue supporting you until your child’s second birthday, providing guidance during these critical early years.

Funded by the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County, their program is committed to three vital goals: improving pregnancy outcomes, enhancing your child’s health and development, and strengthening your family’s economic self-sufficiency.
